Overcoming Phobias & Fears
Phobia is from the Greek: φόβος, phóbos, fear or morbid fear, it's an irrational, intense, persistent fear of certain situations, activities, things, or people.
Most phobias are learned conditions from situations that we were never taught how to cope with, but they feel as if they get bigger and BIGGER each time they take place. There is a large list of phobias affecting people today however the only one you are interested in is the one affecting you right now.
You probably know more about your situation that most, you know what it is, how you react to it but more importantly you know what measures you need to take to avoid it. This is the control phobias have over you that you don't realise or just accept as part of the deal.
The good news is that applying some Cognitive Behavioural strategies along with some hypnotherapy, disputing irrational fears and negative self talk (you know that voice inside your head that has nothing positive to contribute) you can improve your confidence and regain that control. Imagine what it would feel like to overcome something that has been bothering you for ages possibly even years. It may be something simple that you just want to get out of your life, phobias are different things to different people. For example a family may never know what it would be like to holiday abroad because Mum or Dad have a fear of flying!

Managing Stress & Anxiety
The term "stress" was first used in the 1930's by psychologists before the endocrinologist Hans Selye broadened and popularized the concept to include the response of the body to any demand.
Signs of stress may be emotional, physical or behavioral. This could also include poor judgment, a general negative outlook, excessive worrying, irritability, agitation, unable to relax, feeling isolated, depressed, muscle tension aches and pains, nausea, rapid heartbeat, eating too much or not enough, procrastinating or neglecting responsibilities, using alcohol, cigarettes or drugs to relax, and nervous habits (e.g. nail biting or pacing).
Anxiety is a generalized mood condition that occurs without a particular triggering stimulus. Its when you get that feeling that everything is too much, you can't take anymore and the slightest thing can trigger an outburst. As such, it is distinguished from
fear which occurs in the presence of an observed threat.
Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy can help identify the triggers that can cause anxiety and stress, turning negative thinking into positive thoughts and reducing the anxiety triggers. With a wealth of clinical evidence for the efficacy of hypnotherapy it is probably one of the most effective ways to combat stress.

Helping you build your self esteem
Self-esteem is a term used in psychology to reflect a person's overall evaluation or appraisal of his or her own worth.
Do you have a voice inside you that tells you how to act, feel, limit your capability and determine how much you think you are worth? Do your reactions to those messages shape the way you feel about yourself? If you make a small mistake are you hard on yourself and tell yourself "I'm an idiot?". You do feel embarrased at compliments?
Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy can show you how to
change the way you see yourself. It will show you how to form more healthy attitudes about yourself or any mistakes you make and treat them as points of reference to move forward. This new attitude will help increase your learning and enable you to
work to your full potential. You know you want to but that voice keeps knocking you back, telling you you can't do this or that. Well, now you can begin to control how you what to feel, for I can show you skills that will develope your assertivness and grow your confidence. I can show you how you can change the way you think about yourself and banish that irritating negative voice for good. Take a moment to imagine feeling just 10% better about yourself and your ability, how would that reflect how you behave and your actions? I talk from experience because I used to have one of those voices, but it doesn't effect me anymore.

Increasing your Confidence
Confidence is generally described as a state of being certain either that a hypothesis or prediction is correct or that a chosen course of action is the best or most effective. Self-confidence is having confidence in oneself.
Confidence can be a self-fulfilling prophecy as those without it may fail or not try because they lack it and those with it may succeed because they have it rather than because of an innate ability.
Our confidence is like a rollercoaster, sometimes its soaring high into the sky other times it could be in a downward spiral. Even the great and the good need a confidence boost every now and again.
Hypnotherpay can help you recognise those negative thought patterns and replace them with realistic positive thoughts. You will be able to focus on specific qualities and traits you possess that make you what you are. I will work with you to rehearse specific situations where you would like to feel more confident. Once we have mastered that, we take it to the next stage and show you how this rehearsal can begin to influence real life situations. All at a pace that you feel comfortable with agreement to move on at each stage.
